RECOMMENDATION 2: That the Victorian Government review the Retirement Villages Act 1986. The review should determine the effectiveness of the Act in providing consumer protection while allowing growth and innovation in the sector.
The State Government is yet to respond to the recommendations.

Agree, but we need informed people other than CAV, the operators and quangos, we need residents who understand the relationship between the RV Act definition and the contracts, and there are only two or three of them in this state, if one is to believe the LSIC report. Are such people on the review panel?
